His songs “Fire in the Dark” and “This Time Around” both charted in the number one position in 2023 for more than a dozen consecutive weeks. His song “Unbroken Ground” was a top 40 hit on the Billboard Chart. As a writer he has cuts with Randy Travis, Ronnie Milsap, and James Otto.

What We Do

At the Soul Singer Foundation, we are dedicated to helping individuals overcome substance abuse and find a path to hope and recovery. Our work reaches those who need it most, including individuals who are incarcerated.  We aim to deliver an impactful message of transformation and resilience. By sharing Gary’s life experiences with faith and recovery, we inspire those seeking a second chance at life.

We also engage with communities through various fundraising events at several venues, rallying support for our mission. These events provide essential resources that allow us to continue and expand our outreach programs, further extending our impact.

Chris’ Story

Chris’ battle with addiction began at just 14 years old. Despite growing up in a loving home with a phenomenal support system, his story proves that addiction doesn’t discriminate. Over time, managing his substance abuse became harder, ultimately leading him to the three places we hear about so often: jails, institutions, and death.

After several stints in rehab, multiple incarcerations, and near-fatal overdoses, Chris is now on a new path—one built on faith, sobriety, and recovery. His journey of transformation began on his 32nd birthday, marking a powerful new chapter in his life.
